Last season’s NBA Finals was a tough battle between the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors.
Of course, we all know that the Warriors ended up on top and took home the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
However, the Celtics were able to claim two victories before the Warriors snuck past them for the win.
But the Celtics almost didn’t make the Finals.

For a moment, it looked like the Miami Heat would be the Eastern Conference team proceeding to the Finals.
But after an intense Eastern Conference Finals, the Celtics earned the right to fight the Warriors.
Friday night will mark the first time that the Celtics and Heat have played against each other since last season’s Game 7 in the ECF.
Fans of both teams are ready for a knock-down, drag-out battle.
Celtics Look To Cool The Heat
The Celtics are coming to Miami on Friday night with the hopes of once again beating their rivals.
Meanwhile, the Heat are looking to redeem themselves after last season’s tough loss.
The Heat were actually the number one seed in the East when they began their fight against the Celtics.
There were more than a few people who thought they’d win it all and head to the Finals.
But Boston had gotten so strong by that point and the wind was in their sails.
They had the momentum and pushed hard into the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Heat made it closer than Boston wanted and the series went to Game 7.
If they had tweaked their game by just a bit and had some lucky breaks, they would have been the ones scrapping it out with the Warriors.
