Over the winter, legendary third baseman Scott Rolen was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, securing his place amongst other stars.
Rolen played for the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays, and Cincinnati Reds during his storied career, but chose to have a Cardinals logo on his Hall of Fame plaque.
Last week, he threw out the first pitch on Opening Day at Busch Stadium to the tune of a raucous crowd.
Tuesday is a special day for the newest member of the Hall of Fame.
On Twitter, the Cardinals wished their former third baseman a happy 48th birthday.

Rolen spent 17 years in Major League Baseball and won a Rookie of the Year Award, a Silver Slugger Award, eight Gold Gloves, and a World Series ring in 2006.
He also was an All-Star seven times and hit for a career .281 average, hitting 316 home runs, and posting a 70.1 WAR along the way.
Along with Jim Edmonds and Albert Pujols, Rolen helped form the famous “MV3” in St. Louis.
The slugger was traded over to St. Louis in 2002 and was with the team until after the 2007 season.
Rolen helped guide the Cardinals to four NL Central titles, two NL pennants, and a World Series title.
One of his best moments in a Cardinals uniform came during Game 7 of the 2004 NLCS.
With the game tied at two, Rolen hit a two-run homer off of Roger Clemens that put the Cardinals ahead.
St. Louis won that game by a final of 5-2 and advanced to their first World Series since 1987 in the process.
