The Milwaukee Brewers are off to hot start in 2023.
After trading away Josh Hader at the deadline last year, they ultimately missed the postseason and finished 86-76.
However, they look prepared to put last year’s difficult finish behind them.
They head into a weekend series with the St. Louis Cardinals at 5-1 and with the second-best record in the National League.
One man in particular is off to a nice start.
Third baseman and outfielder Brian Anderson has been hitting quite well in his first few games with his new team.
In his first six games, Anderson is hitting for a .500 average and has also hit three home runs and driven in 10.
In addition, he has a slugging percentage of .1.056, an on-base percentage of .565, and an OPS of 1.621.

This is about as good of a start as any player can have.
Anderson was cut loose by the Miami Marlins after they did not tender him a contract ahead of the arbitration deadline.
Fortunately, the Brewers came calling and found a home for the slugger.
So far, he’s making the most of this new opportunity with the Brewers.
He’s been swinging a hot bat and the Brewers have been winning games.
After losing to the Chicago Cubs on Opening Day, Milwaukee has bounced right back and won five consecutive games.
They lead the Cardinals by three in the NL Central and are just a half-game behind the Atlanta Braves for the best record in the NL.
If Anderson stays hot, the Brewers should be in good shape.
