Clayton Kershaw may not be in his prime anymore.
But that doesn’t make him any less of a pitcher these days.
He’s 9-3 with a 2.39 ERA in 19 starts this season.
He’s been especially dominant against one team at home.
That team is the Arizona Diamondbacks.
And coming into last night’s start against them at Dodger Stadium, he was 11-1 lifetime against the D’Backs at home with a 1.83 ERA, which includes postseason games.
All Kershaw did last night was strikeout 10 batters over six innings of one-run ball as he earned his ninth win of the 2022 season and led the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 5-2 win.
He also didn’t walk a batter and only allowed six hits.

Kershaw Continues His Run
It was certainly a night to remember for Kershaw.
Sometimes, you just have a team’s number, and that has been the case for Kershaw with the lowly D’Backs, who haven’t reached the postseason since 2017.
Kershaw hasn’t lost at home to the D’Backs since June of 2013, right around the time when the Dodgers and D’Backs had that insane brawl.
Kershaw just seems to be locked in against Arizona these days.
Facing him at Dodger Stadium has become somewhat of a deathtrap for the Diamondbacks.
He has their number and knows exactly how to pitch to them when the time comes.
All he did last night was add to that already impressive mark.
The Dodgers in general seem to have the Diamondbacks’ number, but Kershaw especially has it with the way he’s been able to dominate them over the past decade.
This is the last guy you want to face under any circumstances if you’re the D’Backs.
They just haven’t been able to find a way to beat Kershaw, and last night was no exception.
