During his 12 years in the NBA, Tobias Harris of the Philadelphia 76ers has earned a career average of 16.2 points and 6.1 rebounds a game.
He has been an important part of multiple teams but he has yet to earn an All-Star appearance.
According to Hoops Hype, per NBACentral, Harris thinks he deserves the honor but isn’t focused on it.
“I think I’ve made the case a few years to be there [an All-Star],” Harris said.
Tobias Harris believes he should’ve been an All-Star a few times in his career
“I think I’ve made the case a few years to be there (an All-Star). It’s something that, as a player, you strive to get. I think after the first one, where I thought I should’ve made it, I kind of… pic.twitter.com/jzBZp1HbSr

Last season, Harris had 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
He started in all 74 regular-season games and was a pivotal part of the team’s lineup, alongside Joel Embiid, James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, and others.
Harris isn’t the first NBA star who wishes he could have been in the All-Star Game.
Securing a spot in that game is extremely difficult and requires players who are not only superb on the floor but also very popular with the media and fans.
As great as Harris is, he hasn’t gained the sort of following that is necessary to be an All-Star.
He is wise to cut his losses and just focus on his game instead.
The season ahead might be a major one for Harris and the rest of the Sixers.
The team will again try to make it out of the East and return to the Finals for the first time in years.
A lot is riding on the season because there are concerns that Embiid could depart if things don’t go well.
Therefore, the hard work of Harris and others will be needed more than ever before.
He might not be an All-Star again this year, but Harris will need to perform like one.
