The Philadelphia 76ers are going through a complicated situation with James Harden.
He doesn’t want to be there, and he’s made it more than obvious and well-known, yet the team seems reluctant to engage in serious trade talks around him.
Recent reports have stated that Harden was going to try to make things so awkward and uncomfortable that they would have no choice but to trade him in desperation.
But that hasn’t been the case at all thus far.
If anything, Harden has been going through the drills like everybody else, he’s been talkative to his teammates and even the young players, and he has shown no signs of trying to make things awkward at all.
That’s why Tyrese Maxey went out of his way in his interview with J.J. Redick’s ‘The Old Man & The Three’ to give Harden his flowers for staying professional.
Maxey praised him for still being receptive and giving the younger players some advice and just showing up to do his job, rather than trying to sabotage everything they’ve worked for.
Harden has earned a bad reputation in the league as of late.
But at the end of the day, he’s still a professional and will handle himself as such.
