The Philadelphia 76ers are amid a tumultuous offseason.
After having another disappointing finish in last year’s playoffs the Sixers know they needed to make some changes.
One player who is looking to leave Philadelphia is star point guard James Harden.
He no longer wants to play for the Sixers and has asked to be traded.
But could trading Harden have a ripple effect across the roster?
One player who may not be long in Philadelphia is reigning MVP Joel Embiid.
According to Keith Pompey via NBA Central, Embiid joining the New York Knicks could “absolutely” happen.

Pompey also mentioned that Embiid owns a house in New York.
If the Sixers can not make the conference finals this upcoming season they might look to move off Embiid.
While he has been a great regular-season player, Embiid has consistently come up short in the playoffs.
At some point, the 76ers may decide it is time to try something new.
Embiid joining the Knicks would be terrible for the 76ers and their fans.
The Knicks are Eastern Conference Rivals with the Sixers and Embiid could be the piece that pushes them over the top.
While Embiid is set to play the upcoming year with the 76ers, how far they go could determine his future.
Embiid is a fan favorite in Philadelphia and letting him go would not be an easy call.
But the Sixers may need a fresh start if they have a disappointing 23-24 season.
