San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Trent Williams is expected to hit free agency.
But, the 49ers are doing all they can in hoping they can lure Williams back to San Francisco.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, they are hopeful to get a deal done before the start of the league year.
From yesterday's NFL Now on @nflnetwork: The #49ers are making a strong push to keep LT Trent Williams from getting to the market. Williams made it clear he's interested in staying, though he wants fair value. pic.twitter.com/YAJxI90Ojz

“I’m told they made strong offers for him so far in their negotiations and are hopeful that something will get done before the start of the league year.” said Garofolo.
Garafolo also mentioned that Williams fully intends to find out his value and will not be giving a hometown discount to the 49ers.
“The fact that he sat out a year and came back and played well, he definitely wants his value.”
Williams is highly regarded as one of the top options available in the free agency market as far as offensive linemen.
With the Richburg move, I can’t see the #49ers allowing Trent Williams to test free agency. I believe he’s going to get a number he can’t refuse from us. It’s time to pay Trent Williams!pic.twitter.com/qh5WzRPblf

Williams, who turns 33 in June, will most certainly help any team that is looking for immediate help at left tackle.
The question with Williams will be how much money he will demand.
The Kansas City Chiefs could also be players for Williams after recently releasing Eric Fisher.
The Vikings and Colts could also be in pursuit after the Vikings released Riley Reiff and the Colts’ Anthony Castonzo retired.
