The Indianapolis Colts have options and one of those options should be trading up in the draft.
With some of the top prospects on the board, the Colts could use a key offensive weapon.
When breaking down the needs, any of these three players would be worth the price to trade up.
1. Jordan Love-Quarterback (Utah State)
First of all, Love said he would love to play for the franchise.
One QB option for the #Colts—> Jordan Love. Here’s what Jordan thinks about the team. Plenty of #NFLCombine coverage at https://t.co/33Ugb8JEvw. @IndyStarSports pic.twitter.com/Am0uh4p1on

The Colts made it clear that there will be a quarterback competition this year.
Love just completed his junior season at Utah State, leading the team to a 7-6 record and an appearance in the Frisco Bowl.
As a sophomore, Love threw for 3,567 yards, 32 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
However, his production slipped to 20 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in 2019.
Many have questioned his ability, which makes his combine appearance even more important.
Jordan Love struck me today as having exactly the right blend of confidence and self awareness. Here he talks about his ability to make something happen when plays break down. #Colts pic.twitter.com/jdlcagJ5yU

The Colts appear to not be sold on Jacoby Brissett.
If that is the case, bringing in the next face of the franchise could be worth the price in the draft if the franchise is in love with Love.
No pun intended.
2. CeeDee Lamb-Wide Receiver (Oklahoma)
In some mock drafts, Lamb is projected as high as the No. 8 overall pick.
In other scenarios, rumors are already spreading that the Colts could be linked to Lamb.
Lamb is one of many play-making wide receivers that could be taken in the first-round.
.@MoveTheSticks offseason plan for the #Colts:
• Sign Philip Rivers
• Draft Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, or Henry Ruggs at No. 13
• Draft QB + DT in Round 2 pic.twitter.com/CfwRz4VEuv— Locked On Colts Podcast (@LockedOnColts) February 22, 2020
At the NFL Combine, Lamb clocked a 4.50 time in the 40-yard dash.
His speed could be the perfect complement to T.Y Hilton.
Lamb could be available at No. 13, but it’s going to take some work on the Colts brass to determine the feel of Lamb’s stock.
If a team like the Arizona Cardinals (No. 8 overall pick) would be interested, engaging in trade talks would be worth it.
The Cardinals are in the market for a wide receiver to pair with Offensive Rookie of the Year quarterback Kyler Murray.
However, if the Colts are going to compete, Hilton needs some help with whoever is throwing to him.
3. Tua Tagovailoa-Quarterback (Alabama)
The article talks about players “worth” trading for even if they may be out of reach.
Tagovailoa is definitely worth trading for if the Colts have the opportunity.
#NFLCombine key measurements thread…
57. #Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa
Height: 6-0
Weight: 217
Hand: 10 (left), 9 7/8 (right)
Arm: 30 4/8
Wingspan: 75 2/8— Charles Robinson (@CharlesRobinson) February 24, 2020
We are not the only ones that believe it could be done though.
ESPN’s Bill Barnwell said that the Colts could package the No. 13, No. 34, and No. 44 overall picks to the Detroit Lions to land the No. 3 overall pick.
This is very possible given that the Lions have stated the No. 3 pick is on the trade block.
If the Colts are not committed to Brissett, then trading for Tagovailoa should be considered.
