Buddy Hield is officially on the move.
The acclaimed sharpshooter has agreed to play for the Golden State Warriors in the new season, which is considered a smart and potentially very beneficial move for Steve Kerr’s team.
But multiple other teams attempted to woo Hield before he signed paperwork with Golden State.
According to Michael Scotto, per NBACentral, both the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets were “angling” to sign Hield before he linked up with the Warriors.
Beyond that, Scotto also reported that the Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Lakers contemplated going after Hield, although it seems they didn’t put much effort into the idea.

Hield could be a huge help for the Warriors.
Last season, he produced 12.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists for the Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers, shooting 43.6% from the field and 38.6% from the three-point line.
To some, he seems like the perfect replacement for Klay Thompson, who just left the Warriors for the Dallas Mavericks.
Thompson didn’t shoot very well last season so Hield could actually be an upgrade for the Warriors’ offense.
He might work excellently alongside Steph Curry and could give the team a major boost.
It’s not surprising that several teams wanted Hield as he has been a target for numerous franchises over the last few years.
He has moved around the league a bit during his eight-year career, playing for the New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, Pacers, and finally the 76ers.
Now he is moving the Warriors, but how long will he be there?
Is this a long-term investment for Golden State or a relationship that won’t last?
