Daniel Jones has finally blossomed into the quarterback that the New York Giants needed.
This season, the former No. 6 overall draft pick has elevated his game.

He has already posted career highs in passing yards (3,205), rushing yards (708), and rushing touchdowns (7).
On top of this, he also has lows for interceptions and fumbles so far.
Put all of this together, and it is helping to drive the Giants into the playoffs.
Here is a look at the two stats that most accurately show Jones’ improvement this year.
2. Interception Percentage
Heading into Week 18, Jones has the lowest interception percentage in the NFL among qualified QBs.
This stat compares a QB’s total interceptions in comparison to his total pass attempts.
At just 1.1%, he ranks higher than Jalen Hurts and Tom Brady who rank second and third respectively.
This is a big step forward for Jones, who hasn’t come close to that number so far in his career.
Pair this with his career low of six fumbles, and he is turning the ball over at a much lower rate.
This is one big reason for the Giants’ success this season.
1. Rushing Yards Per Game
While this stat is of course inflated by certain games, it is still a significant number.
This season he is averaging 44.3 yards on the ground, by far his career best.
His ability to create with his mobility has given the Giants’ offense a dynamic look.

It pairs nicely with running back Saquon Barkley, who has emerged as one of the league’s best rushers.
The duo are able to keep defenses off-balance, while Jones’ improved passing has made this even more effective.
While they are lacking in wide receiver talent, this aspect of their offense allows them to be successful.
