While most people in the NFL thought there was going to be a slow market for star RB Jonathan Taylor, it seems like that’s just not going to be the case anymore.
The Indianapolis Colts star continues to gauge interest around the league, with Colts beat writer Destin Adams reporting that the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams have now officially entered the sweepstakes to get him (via Dov Kleiman).

Taylor wanted to get a lucrative contract extension, but the Colts politely declined.
Ultimately, he was granted permission to seek a trade after originally being denied one, and it seems like the wheels are in motion to get him out of Indy before the start of the season.
Despite the slow market for running backs, reports state that as many as six teams have already reached out to Jim Irsay’s team in an attempt to trade for the former rushing champion.
The Miami Dolphins have reportedly been quite aggressive in their pursuit of Taylor, which doesn’t strike as much of a surprise, considering they were also trying to get Dalvin Cook even before being released by the Minnesota Vikings.
Taylor is coming off an injury-riddled season and continues to struggle with a high ankle injury, which is something that could make any transaction difficult, especially considering the fact that any team that trades for him will have to sign him to an extension.
But he’s still one of the best running backs in the league, so he’s definitely worth the risk.
