The Tennessee Titans recently added wide receiver Julio Jones to their offense.
Jones, 32, was eager to get out of Atlanta where he spent his entire 10-year career.
He wants to win especially now at the latter stages of his career.
Adding him to the Titans offense makes an already good Titans team even better.

Here are two of his stats that Titans fans should be excited about.
2. Yards Per Reception

Jones is very consistent.
His career average yards per reception is 15.2.
That is an astonishing average over the span of 848 career catches.
He was the primary target for most of his years in Atlanta so he drew the double coverage and extra defensive attention.
Pairing him with A.J. Brown makes it very unclear who defenses will put their primary focus on.

This is good news because that 15.2 yards per reception average could end up being higher with Jones in a Titans uniform.
For comparison sake, Brown has 17.4 yards per reception, but the sample size is significantly smaller; he has 122 career catches.
One final note, Corey Davis, who played for the Titans from 2017-2020 and will be playing for the Jets in 2021, has 13.8 yards per reception with 207 career catches.
1. Catch Percentage
Catch percentage is the amount of catches completed divided by the number of total targets.
Again, Jones excels in this category over a large sample size of receptions.
He was targeted 1,320 times in his career and caught 848 of the passes for a career catch percentage of 64.2%.
Jones is money in big game situations; he has solid hands and is a playmaker.
Ironically, his new teammate A.J. Brown has the exact same catch percentage: 64.2%.
He caught 122 out of 190 targeted passes.
A comparison to Corey Davis is also favorable for Jones and Titans fans.
Davis’s career catch percentage is 61.2%; he caught 207 passes out of 338 targets.
Conclusion
One thing is for certain.
Jones did not come to Tennessee to rest on his laurels.
The seven-time Pro Bowler has more in the tank and plenty to prove to a new city and fanbase.
"Julio Jones is going to be amazing in Tennessee… this AJ Brown, Julio Jones combination… Ryan Tannehill is going to think he is heaven and oh by the way this is still Derrick Henry's football team."@AdamSchein believes that Julio Jones to the Titans is the perfect fit. pic.twitter.com/810hjxAD2z

He already loves the Titans vibe and fans.
“Being here at the Titans, I love it. I’m very excited to be a part of this organization. Just the team camaraderie, just the whole atmosphere and everything here, this feels like when I was in college at the University of Alabama. It’s amazing here, so that’s where I’m at right now.”
“You have to be here to understand the feeling here as far as the fan base. The way they treat you, and it’s unconditional. You just feel like you can go out there and give your all. No matter what happens, they’re going to be behind you, instead of going out there and thinking, ‘If I make a mistake, I do this, I’m to blame or I’m shamed’ or things like that. It definitely has that college-experience atmosphere here. That’s what I love about it as well as the culture of the team.”
Titans fans, and football fans in general, are excited to see the contributions Julio Jones makes to the Titans offense in 2021.
