The Los Angeles Lakers did an outstanding job of revamping their roster before the trade deadline.
They dumped some of their bad contracts and even managed to move Russell Westbrook without giving up two first-round picks, as most insiders predicted, and brought in one of the best supporting casts in the league for LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
But it’s evident that it wasn’t enough for them to get the job done, and they need another scorer and ball-handler to get over the hump.
With that in mind, it seems like they could make a run at Trae Young, according to Jovan Buha of The Athletic.
The Lakers are reportedly considering making a play for Trae Young this offseason, per @jovanbuha

While this could sound far-fetched, Young was in attendance at Crypto.com Arena during the Lakers’ Game 4 loss to the Denver Nuggets, just like Kyrie Irving.
And while Kyrie has been tied to the Lakers for months, we cannot ignore the fact that Young is represented by Klutch Sports and Rich Paul, just like LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Also, there were reports about the Atlanta Hawks considering moving on from Young, who may not be on the same page with some of his teammates.
There were several controversial reports from the Hawks’ camp this season, including former coach Nate McMillan wanting to resign and Young getting into an altercation with him in practice.
Of course, making the numbers work would be tough, but Rich Paul, LeBron, the Lakers, and star players often get what they want, so we’ll have to keep an eye on this story in the next couple of months.
