The Detroit Pistons set a bad kind of NBA history recently when they broke the record for most consecutive losses in one regular season.
The Pistons lost a record 28 straight games before finally snapping the streak against a shorthanded Toronto Raptors squad.
Detroit beat Toronto 129-127, though it came on the same day that the latter traded away OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa, and Malachi Flynn.
However, the Pistons and their fans aren’t going to feel sorry for the Raptors after going months without a victory.
Cade Cunningham has been having a bounce-back season after missing most of last year with an injury
Despite all the losing, Cunningham has been on a tear and his past three games have been impressive via StatMuse.
“Cade Cunningham last 3 games:
30 PTS | 12 AST | 0 TOV
31 PTS | 6 REB | 9 AST
41 PTS | 9 REB | 5 AST,” Statmuse tweeted.

The former No. 1 overall pick may not have a reliable jump shot yet, but he does so many good things with the basketball in his hands.
Cunningham has been one of the few bright spots for Detroit and he’s showing that he still has the potential to be the best player on the team.
The modern NBA features several wing-sized playmakers, and Cunningham fits that mold.
The young guard has a knack for getting to his spots on the floor and is solid when making plays for his teammates.
Head coach Monty Williams might have his hands full trying to maximize the rest of the roster, but at least he can rest easy knowing he has an offensive talent in Cunningham.
