The New York Jets pulled off a Week 1 miracle despite going through a roller-coaster of emotions.
Aaron Rodgers’ injury early in the game brought shock to the sideline.
But instead of wilting under pressure, they kept fighting and won the game on a walk-off punt return by rookie wide receiver Xavier Gipson.
With Rodgers out of action, Zach Wilson played an important role in the win over the Buffalo Bills.
His touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson helped tie the game at 16.
More importantly, the young quarterback’s teammates showered him with support after that play.

Veteran wide receiver Allen Lazard said to Wilson:
“Just like that. It’s just like that. You feel how it’s off your shoulders now. Now it’s on them. Now it’s on them. Tied score. We’re gonna beat ‘em.”
Zach Wilson needs all the support he can get because he has enormous shoes to fill.
He takes over for a Super Bowl champion and a Hall of Famer.
As for his teammates, rallying behind him can boost his confidence.
The season is not yet over for the Jets as they continue to bond together through adversity.
That us-versus-the-world mentality could inspire them to win enough games to snap the franchise’s playoff drought.
With the momentum they’ve built, the Jets could shock the football world this season with their performance.
