Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval and the Cincinnati Bengals will have a tough couple of weeks ahead of them.
Pureval joined the plethora of trash-talking Bengals fans ahead of Sunday night’s clash vs. the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC Championship game, and it didn’t end so well.
The Mayor deemed Sunday the ‘They Gotta Play Us Day’ and joined the ‘Burrowhead Stadium’ narrative before the game, and you better believe the Chiefs kept their receipts.
That’s why Travis Kelce had some words for Pureval after the game, mocking the mayor while rocking the Lamar Hunt trophy:
“I’ve got some wise words for that Cincinnati mayor. Know your role and shut your mouth, you jabroni!” Kelce said as the crowd went wild. “You gotta fight for your right to party!” he added, reminiscing of the time they won Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers.

Notably, the Chiefs will still have to fight a lot for that right to party, as they’ll face the best team in the NFL this season: the Philadelphia Eagles.
Both teams will take the field at Glendale, Arizona, on February 12 for their chance to win their second Super Bowl in the past five years, with the Eagles winning in 2018 and the Chiefs the very next season.
Patrick Mahomes was visibly limited with a high ankle sprain, and Kelce was a game-time decision with an injured back, so they’ll need to be back to full strength to try and beat one of the stoutest defenses in the league.NEXT: Patrick Mahomes Continues To Make Must-See Playoff History
