Although Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs is the best tight end in the NFL, he isn’t the highest-paid one.
Next season, George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers is slated to earn a few million dollars more than him.
However, Kelce doesn’t seem to mind, and he says that his representatives love to tell him that he’s underpaid, per NFL on ESPN.

Kelce was merely a third-round draft pick in 2013, and after a decent but underwhelming college career at the University of Cincinnati, he wasn’t exactly a candidate to become the best at his position in the NFL.
He appeared in just one game and put up no offensive numbers as a rookie, but in his second season, he started to show signs of what was to come by posting 862 yards and five touchdowns.
Kelce earned his first Pro Bowl nod in 2015, and he has earned that honor every season since, in addition to four All-Pro First-Team selections.
Last season, he was forced to take on a somewhat increased burden after superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill was unexpectedly traded to the Miami Dolphins.
He responded by putting up career highs in receptions (110) and touchdowns (12) while also recording 1,338 receiving yards, which ranked eighth in the league.
Of course, Kelce also earned his second Super Bowl ring when the Chiefs overcome a 10-point halftime deficit and got past the Philadelphia Eagles.
He put up 81 yards and a touchdown in that contest to help his team’s cause.
This coming season, Kelce will again need to take on a heavy workload after JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kansas City’s most productive wideout in 2022, left to join the New England Patriots.
