The San Antonio Spurs weren’t able to secure a victory on Wednesday night, falling to the Memphis Grizzlies 124-122 in a tough overtime loss.
While the team wasn’t able to earn their W, they still showed a lot that made fans happy.
There was a ton of great work from several players on the team.
And there was one possession that made the Spurs look like a vintage version of themselves.

The players on the floor did just as head coach Gregg Popovich instructed.
Each player performed with intense speed, passing the ball from one to another with lightning-quick moves.
It was hard to keep your eye on the ball as the Spurs moved it around so efficiently.
The entire play was incredible to watch and was a prime example of just how great Popovich’s coaching is.
It sadly wasn’t enough for a win but fans of the Spurs are liking a lot of what they see in San Antonio.
Spurs With Speed
Seven San Antonio Spurs players scored double-digits on Wednesday night.
Jakob Poeltl put up 22 points, as did Devin Vassell.
Meanwhile, Keldon Johnson scored 16 points and 8 rebounds, while Jeremy Sochan scored 13, Josh Richardson did too, and Tre Jones got 11 while Charles Bassey earned 10.
That is a great sign for the Spurs, showing that multiple players are capable of putting up a lot of points for the team.
Losing a game is never fun but the team losing so admirably to the Grizzlies isn’t anything to be ashamed of.
Few people believe the Spurs will have a big postseason presence this year.
Instead, this season is all about building something special for the future.
Based on what fans saw Wednesday, that building is definitely happening.
