It’s no secret that the Tampa Bay Rays are the talk of the town throughout Major League Baseball.
And it makes sense as to why.
Tampa Bay has won their first 11 games and are on a historic win streak.
In fact, it’s their best start in franchise history.
They lead the American League East by four games over the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays.
But with their most recent win, they continued their climb towards the top of a historic list.
As of now, they are tied with the 1981 Oakland Athletics for the third-best winning streak to start a season since 1900.
Just two more wins, and they will match the 1987 Milwaukee Brewers and 1982 Atlanta Braves, who each began their respective seasons with 13 consecutive wins.

No streak lasts forever, but the Rays are doing everything in their power to ensure that their win streak lasts as long as possible.
They have been firing on all cylinders since Opening Day and are showing no signs whatsoever of slowing down.
Again, the Rays are just two wins shy of tying the 1982 Braves and 1987 Brewers for the most consecutive wins to start a season in the modern MLB era.
Tampa Bay reached the postseason last year as a Wild Card team, but were swept in the first round by the Cleveland Guardians.
This year, they’ve gotten off to a hot start and are currently the last remaining team that is still unbeaten.
They’ll look to keep their streak alive as they prepare to take on the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday.
