Somehow, some way, the Baltimore Orioles are the hottest team in all of baseball.
On Wednesday night, the team picked up their 10th straight victory, defeating the Chicago Cubs by a final of 7-1.
The win put them over the .500 mark and made certain that every team within the American League East division has a record greater than .500.
But yes, the Orioles are the team right now that is making all the headlines in Major League Baseball.
This is the first time since 1999 that the O’s have had a winning streak of 10 games or longer and MLB took to Twitter to remind us all to party like it’s 1999.

Party Like It’s 1999
Well baseball fans, you know what to do.
History has been made and the Orioles continue to set new marks as they go out each night and find a way to win ballgames.
Who would’ve expected the Orioles of all teams to go on a winning streak and break the .500 mark for the first time in a while?
This is a team that hasn’t even come close to contention since 2017 and hasn’t reached the postseason since 2016.
But with that third Wild Card spot being added, the Orioles suddenly find themselves in postseason contention.
Yes, they may still be in the cellar of the AL East, but the fact of the matter is, they sit just two games back of the final AL Wild Card spot, which the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays are currently tied for.
Things always get crazy this time of year, and we’re in for a treat down the stretch if these Orioles can continue winning ballgames and setting more marks.
The trade deadline will tell a lot about where this team is.
