The Miami Heat managed to make history by making it to the NBA Finals as the No. 8 seed, but things won’t get any easier from here.
They knocked down the top two seeds in the Eastern Conference and will now get to face the team with the third-best record in the league on arguably the toughest court in in the NBA at the heights of Colorado.
Fortunately for them, they might as well get an elite reinforcement right on time, as Chris Haynes of NBA on TNT recently reported that they’re expecting Tyler Herro to be back at some point in the NBA Finals, with Game 3 as the likeliest scenario.

The Heat have been without Herro since Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs when he suffered a fractured hand vs. the Milwaukee Bucks.
He’s the team’s second-leading scorer and arguably the best offensive player as a whole, so having him back would obviously be a major factor for their aspirations, especially with the series heading back home for Games 3 and 4.
Erik Spoelstra’s side will face an uphill battle — both literally and figuratively — after watching their series go to seven games, all while the Denver Nuggets had a full week to rest, restore, and regroup.
Tired legs can be a major factor this deep into the postseason, so having another key piece in their rotation capable of giving them 30+ minutes and 20+ points per game could be the ultimate X-factor for a Heat team that’s looking to make even more history this season.
