Sunday Night Football on NBC shared the top-scoring teams through Week 5 of the 2022 NFL season.
The Chiefs are on top with 159 points, while the Bills are not far behind with 152.
Those numbers translate to the Chiefs leading the league in points per game at 31.8 while the Bills are second at 30.4.
The Detroit Lions (140), Baltimore Ravens (138), and Philadelphia Eagles (135) complete the top five.
The Bills top the league in total yards at (440.4) and passing yards (324) per game.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs are sixth in total yards (381.4) and fourth in passing yards (267.2) per game.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen leads the league in passing yards with 1,651.
On the other hand, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is fourth at 1,398.
They are also the top two quarterbacks in terms of passing touchdowns, with Mahomes having the slight edge, 15-14.
Intense Playoff Battles Between Chiefs And Bills
The Chiefs and the Bills have met four times since Allen and Mahomes became the starting quarterbacks for their respective teams.
Kansas City won three of those games, including their two postseason showdowns.
The Chiefs defeated the Bills in the 2020 AFC Championship Game to reach Super Bowl LV.
A year later, both teams locked horns in a memorable Divisional Round battle at Arrowhead Stadium.
The fourth quarter of that game was so intense that it saw three lead changes in the final two minutes.
Mahomes was also able to set up Harrison Butker‘s game-tying field goal despite having only 13 seconds to work with.
