The Atlanta Braves own the best record in baseball, at 93-49.
No team other than Atlanta has lost fewer than 50 games, and only the Baltimore Orioles have won at least 90.
While the vast majority of teams are struggling to position themselves in a playoff spot, the Braves have done the unthinkable: they are already in the postseason, per MLB on FOX.

After Sunday’s games, it became official: the team occupying the third and final Wild Card spot in the National League can’t catch the Braves, confirming a playoff berth for the latter.
It has been an amazing season for Atlanta, with a historic offense and a more-than-capable pitching staff.
Ronald Acuna Jr. is trying to become the first 40-70 guy after successfully clearing 30-60, Matt Olson is trying to hit 50 home runs for the first time in his career, and other hitters such as Marcell Ozuna, Ozzie Albies, Austin Riley, Sean Murphy, Travis d’Arnaud, Orlando Arcia, Michael Harris II, and Eddie Rosario are having career seasons or close to it.
Spencer Strider is striking out the world, and Max Fried and Charlie Morton have both had excellent years as well.
Overall, the Braves don’t have many weaknesses, if any, and will be very hard to beat in October.
Not that there was ever any doubt, but they have officially punched their ticket to October baseball.
There, they will try to win their second World Series in the last three years after their triumph in 2021.
This is MLB’s best team, and it might not be that close.
