The Golden State Warriors have struggled to play well for the majority of the 2023-24 NBA season.
However, the organization has been playing well over the last few weeks, primarily thanks to the rise of Jonathan Kuminga to stardom.
Previously, Kuminga had been provided with limited opportunities by head coach Steve Kerr, which led to the former seventh overall pick expressing concern about his role on the Warriors team.
Thankfully, coach Kerr decided to resolve the issue, and since then, Kuminga has played an elite brand of basketball, including a Friday night performance of 29 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Kuminga has now scored more than 20 points in his last eight games, and Steve Kerr heaped huge praise on the young forward via Warriors on NBCS on Twitter.
“JK has just really figured it out,” Kerr said.

Kerr had a simple reaction to Kuminga’s recent performance and claimed that the 21-year-old has really figured it out.
The veteran head coach simply praised Kuminga’s elite ability to score the basketball during games.
Kuminga may be averaging 15.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game for the Warriors this season, but his numbers are certainly deceiving.
After all, Kuminga has scored more than 20 points per game over the last eight games.
Despite Kuminga’s recent surge in numbers, the Golden State Warriors remain the 12th seed in the Western Conference with an underwhelming 21-24 record this season.
