Steph Curry was fantastic for his Golden State Warriors on Thursday night, scoring 42 points, six rebounds, and seven assists, and shooting 6-of-12 from the three-point line.
And even though his team won, Curry was outdone by Aaron Gordon of the Denver Nuggets.
Gordon was on fire, posting 50 points and eight rebounds with 10 three-pointers.
Following the game, Curry spoke about Gordon and the excellent game he had.
“Ridiculous,” Curry said. “Whatever he did this summer, it worked.”

Gordon has been a great part of the Nuggets for years, but it looks like he could be taking a step forward.
Naturally, most people view the Nuggets as Nikola Jokic’s team, but Denver is always better when the rest of the supporting players are carrying a lot of weight.
Jamal Murray is often seen as the team’s second option, but Gordon is making a case for himself as Jokic’s right-hand man.
In fact, on Thursday, he scored more than Jokic, who posted 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Gordon is starting his sixth season with the Nuggets and has averaged 14.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.0 assists since coming to the team in 2020-21.
At 6-foot-8 and 235 pounds, Gordon is typically celebrated for his size and strength, but his three-point shooting has been improving lately.
Two years ago, he averaged 29.0 percent from downtown, but was 43.6 percent from distance last year.
On Thursday night, he was 90 percent from beyond the arc.
That number won’t stay so high for the entire year, but Gordon could be on the verge of his best season ever.
That could work wonders for the Nuggets as they battle to win another championship.
