Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson ingratiated himself to the city by attending the games of other professional sports teams.
He was courtside during a Denver Nuggets games and threw a ceremonial pitch in one of the Colorado Rockies’ games.
He also congratulated the University of Denver for winning the NCAA Men’s Hockey National Championship.
But aside from immersing himself in the community, he is now showing what he can do on the field through hype videos.
Here’s another from the Pro Bowl quarterback and one-time Super Bowl winner.
I’m used to the doubt.
I’m used the work too… pic.twitter.com/mYeZ2HvT4b— Russell Wilson (@DangeRussWilson) July 13, 2022
Wilson tweeted, “I’m used to the doubt. I’m used the work too…”
In the accompanying video, he was pushing a cart at full speed before working on his footwork and his movement when he scrambles outside the pocket before catching a tennis ball.
He also practiced some throws while kneeling down and cone drills wherein he had to do stutter steps before throwing the ball to a receiver.
Wilson also practiced his reads on the field, as guided by his trainer, before making deep throws.
He also simulated losing the handoff before regaining the ball and throwing downfield.
The video ended with him doing more footwork drills before making deep passes.
If this is the form that Wilson will bring to Denver next season, opposing teams are in trouble.
The Broncos Are Playoff Favorites In 2022
The team hasn’t been to the playoffs since losing Super Bowl 50.
This time, they have Wilson who can propel their offense to greater heights.
He will use the moves he practiced to generate completions with Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick, and Courtland Sutton.
His downfield vision and presence of mind could also help their receivers complete 1,000-yard seasons.
