The New England Patriots are riding an NFL-best six-game winning streak.
They are also tied for the best record in the league.
With that in mind, Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski recently turned some heads with a statement about the team.
“The Patriots are one of those top 16, 18 teams with a roster that can [play together]. They’re going to really have to stick it out and get on that [same] page if they really want to have a run at the Super Bowl when they make the playoffs,” Gronkowski said.

Granted, Gronkowski is likely at least a little biased.
Then again, he’s also familiar with head coach Mike Vrabel and what he’s capable of.
The Patriots do look like a real contender after nine games.
Quarterback Drake Maye overcame a slow start in the season opener to become a legitimate NFL MVP candidate, and he’s developed chemistry with wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
Also, despite a disappointing start to rookie TreVeyon Henderson’s career, the Patriots have been productive in the running game as well.
More importantly, they’re back to their defensive dominance from Vrabel’s playing days as a linebacker.
The Patriots still have a lot to prove, and they will have to hold off the Buffalo Bills to stay atop the AFC East.
Then again, they certainly look like one of the teams to beat in the conference.
Even if they’re not ready to take that leap and make the Super Bowl this season, they’re definitely heading in the right direction after some struggles.
