The Philadelphia Phillies are coming off a magical run to the World Series after barely sneaking into October as a Wild Card team.
They ultimately fell in six games to the World Series Champion Houston Astros, but there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic if you’re a fan of the Phillies.
The Phillies could be a team that defines the offseason in many ways.
With Trea Turner out on the market, fans and writers are hoping that the Phillies decide to take a shot at bringing him on board for 2023.
One analyst suggests that the Phillies should go all in on Turner, stating that he would be a good fit in the clubhouse, given his connections with Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber.
Turner would also give the Phillies a solid leadoff hitter who brings speed and versatility.
If I’m the Phillies, I do whatever it takes to get Trea Turner in red pinstripes this offseason.
He already meshes well in the clubhouse, having played with Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber, and solves their age-old search for a leadoff hitter.
Speed, versatility, no-brainer.

How Turner Could Help The Phils
Turner would make the Phillies a serious threat to return to the World Series in 2023.
The Phillies could then move Bryston Stott to second base after declining Jean Segura‘s club option.
As was mentioned in the tweet, Turner was teammates with both Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber during his time with the Washington Nationals.
Turner came up in 2015, the year Harper won his first National League MVP Award.
Harper ultimately left for the Phillies in 2019.
Schwarber was with the Nationals for the first half of the 2021 season before both he and Turner were traded at the deadline.
The Phils would certainly benefit from having Turner in their lineup along with Harper, Schwarber, and Nick Castellanos.
