The Los Angeles Clippers have trusted the dynamic duo of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard since the 2019-20 NBA season.
Although the duo has shown signs of excellence, they have failed to bring true success to the organization over the past five seasons.
Despite that, many believe that this season, George and Leonard will finally lead the Clippers to an NBA Championship.
Keeping that in mind, many expect them to stay with the Clippers for the foreseeable future.
With Leonard already signing a three-year, $153 million contract extension with the franchise, many expect George to follow in the footsteps of his All-Star teammate.
With that being said, George was recently asked about his plans to re-sign with the Clippers and he gave a simple answer via ClutchPoints on Twitter.
“That’s the goal,” George said.
Reporter: "Has anything changed as far as contract talks go? Is the goal for you still to come to an agreement on an extension soon [with Clippers]?"
Paul George: "That's the goal."
"Is there any new update beyond that?"
"That's the goal."

The reporter wondered if anything has changed as far as his contract extension talks with the Clippers are concerned.
George mentioned that his goal remains to re-sign with the Clippers.
Upon being pressed for any new updates about the situation, George repeated his answer.
As of now, George still has one more year in his deal with the Clippers if he opts into his $48.7 million player option for the 2024-25 NBA season.
However, if George declines his player option, he could be one of the most sought-after free agents in the summer of 2024.
George is on track to play the highest number of games in five seasons with the Clippers and has averaged 22.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game in the process.
It’s no surprise that the Clippers are currently the second seed in the Western Conference with a 35-16 record.
