With star forward Draymond Green letting it be known that he wants to stay with the Golden State Warriors after the Los Angeles Lakers eliminated the team in the second round of the NBA playoffs, the storied franchise can turn its attention to securing the long-term future of longtime general manager Bob Myers.
At this point, it remains unclear whether Myers truly wants to return to Golden State to keep his run with the team going.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Myers is torn about his decision and will take a couple of weeks after his contract expires in June, which likely isn’t great news for the Warriors.

With Myers being crucial to the team winning four titles over the past decade, the Warriors should do everything within the team’s power to keep him in the Bay Area for the foreseeable future, as he’s proven to be worth a lucrative contract extension.
However, the team may be looking to move on or aren’t willing to pay Myers’ asking price, which is almost certainly exceptionally high and understandably so.
It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out in Golden State, as Myers’ future with the team will be the biggest storyline surrounding the team in the offseason.
Once the two sides agree to a new deal or decide to part ways, the Warriors will have their work cut out for them to figure out what moves to make this summer, as they could look to make a significant trade to help right the ship.
