The NBA season just kicked off and in a matter of days, the first in-season tournament will begin.
The NBA In-Season Tournament is in many ways a big experiment for the league but there is hope that it could become a new annual tradition.
As a way to hype up the fans and add value and excitement to the tournament, the NBA just released a look at every team’s court designs on its official Twitter account.
The league said that these special, one-of-a-kind courts will add a “bold and distinctive style” for the duration of the tournament.

The courts will be used for both Group Play and the Quarterfinals and feature fully painted designs from edge-to-edge and a “larger-than-life NBA cup at center court,” according to a press release from the league.
They are colorful and eye-catching and will really pop on television.
Some people are still confused by how the tournament will work but it’s actually quite simple.
Group Play kicks off on November 3, with all 30 teams being drawn into groups of five within their conferences.
After four games each, eight teams will advance: the team with the best standing in Group Play groups and two “wild cards.”
Knockout Rounds will then begin, with each loss meaning an immediate exit from the tournament.
This will all conclude with the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Championship.
It is definitely different and still has its fair share of critics and detractors but the In-Season Tournament could be a lot of fun and might give fans even more to look forward to at the start of each year.
