The Oakland Athletics had a big night on the South Side of Chicago on Thursday.
The team hit five home runs as they pulled off an 8-5 come-from-behind win over the Chicago White Sox.
One of those five homers was hit by A’s second baseman and young star Zack Gelof.
The home run was his 10th of the year.
On Friday, Jon Morosi of MLB Network commented on what a special talent Gelof could be, discussing his prowess and All-Star potential with Lauren Shehadi.
On Twitter, MLB Network posted a video of Morosi’s brief segment on Gelof and what he could do for the A’s.

Morosi stated that Gelof could be an All-Star up the middle in the future, while also praising him for his power.
He even said that he has heard several great things about Gelof from people associated with the A’s organization and that there simply aren’t many players who burst onto the scene like this.
But as a young player, Gelof displays a quality that is often seen in more veteran players, that being leadership.
Morosi also showed a graphic that illustrates just how impressive Gelof has been so far.
He is the fastest player in A’s history to reach 10 home runs, having reached that mark in just the first 35 games of his career, which is even faster than players such as Mark McGwire, Wayne Gross, Matt Olson, and Jose Canseco.
This is a big group of A’s legends that he has passed in this category, and the future appears bright for the young second baseman.
