The Tennessee Titans ended up falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football despite a valiant fourth-quarter effort.
As the Titans were working on their comeback, one of their top receivers, Treylon Burks, got injured, immediately causing the game to pause.
Burks hit his head on the ground with a significant amount of force trying to reel in a catch.
He left the game on a spinal board, causing significant panic across the league.
Whenever a player has a concussion of this magnitude, it can negatively impact that player in a multitude of ways.
Thankfully, according to a recent update from his head coach Mike Vrabel, Burks is “alert and moving.”

After a scary incident, fans can be assured that Burks can move and that he is alert enough for Vrabel to give a positive update.
This is Burks’ second major concussion, as he suffered from one during his rookie year as well.
For a player who has shown much promise as a future WR1 on this team, Burks’ recent history with concussions is concerning towards his future in the NFL.
As evidenced by Tua Tagovailoa’s concussions in 2022, it took a significant amount of time for him to return to play.
He was out for several weeks after similar head injuries to what Burks experienced.
However, with this news being fresh, the potential severity of this concussion is not known at this time.
All that fans are aware of is that he was taken out on a spinal board, but he is alert and moving.
Fans around the NFL have rallied behind Burks, hoping all is well for the promising receiver.
