The Green Bay Packers haven’t looked good at all on offense in the past three weeks or so. Their defense, however, continues to be lights out.
Nevertheless, Colin Cowherd still isn’t so impressed. At least, he doesn’t see Micah Parsons‘ impact against the run.
Talking on his show, the controversial pundit seemed to take a shot at Parsons. He claimed that he’s not a good run-stopper, adding that he’s just an athlete who makes splash plays.
That’s why the former Dallas Cowboys star took to X to set the record straight. True to form, he called out Cowherd for clearly not watching the tape:
“We just held Saquon Barkley to 60 rushing yards, and our only losses have been holding teams to 13 points! Man, sometimes can y’all? Please stfu and enjoy great defense! Why do you think teams come into the games that were going to run the ball on 3rd and long? What effect do you think that is? Please stop giving people’s mics or listening to trash,” Parsons posted on X.

While Parsons has never been known for his prowess against the run, he’s far from a liability there. More than that, he’s so good against the pass that even if he were a bad run defender, he’d still be worth every penny.
The Packers are shutting down opposing offenses like the best of them. The problem is that they’re just not getting anything from the offense.
Their own running game hasn’t worked all year, and the passing game is constantly facing third-and-long situations. As for Parsons, he’s been spectacular this year, and they would’ve lost more games if it weren’t for his timely stops.
Of course, the Packers should be focused on other things instead of hitting back at the media after two straight losses. But Parsons is going to keep receipts, and he’s going to tell it as it is.
