The Green Bay Packers‘ decision to trade for Micah Parsons is looking more and more like a masterful move.
It took him a while, but the former Dallas Cowboys star had his first true signature game for Green Bay, with three sacks against the Arizona Cardinals.
As a result, he was named the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week.

Parsons also had four tackles for loss and five quarterback hits in Week 7.
He had the highest PFF grade among all defensive players (92.7) and has emerged as the favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year.
Two of Parsons’ sacks forced the Cardinals to settle for field goal tries.
Then, his final sack allowed the Packers to close out a win that shouldn’t have been as close and hard-fought as it was.
He now has 16 career games with at least two sacks, tying Pittsburgh Steelers star T.J. Watt for the fifth-most in a player’s first five seasons.
Now, the two All-Pros will be on opposite sides when Green Bay travels to face Aaron Rodgers on “Sunday Night Football.”
Parsons will look to spoil Rodgers’ first and maybe only game against his former team.
Through six games with the Packers, Parsons has 5.5 sacks, and if he keeps up his level of play, he might be the biggest factor in a potential trip to the Super Bowl.
