The Green Bay Packers are gearing up for a tough Monday Night Football matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, their toughest test, at least on paper, through their first eight games of the season.
Their losses to the Carolina Panthers and the Cleveland Browns were unexpected, but the Packers beat the Detroit Lions in the first week of the season, so fans are wondering what iteration of this team is going to show up on Monday.
Some of their units have been more efficient than others this season, but besides his performance against the Panthers, Jordan Love has been the most consistent and best part of this team.
He’s considered an MVP candidate in many respects, and some of his statistics are looking impressive and encouraging.
Analyst Jacob Morley, for instance, recently noted on X that Love has had 92 pass plays of 25+ yards in the past two seasons, which is the most of any QB in the league.

Love hasn’t thrown for the most yards or touchdowns during that span, but being the league leader in long passes says something about him and his ceiling as a deep-ball thrower.
Some fans have compared his play style to that of Aaron Rodgers or Brett Favre at times, as he isn’t afraid to throw the ball downfield.
He hasn’t had quite the level of interceptions that Favre had in his career, but his accuracy also isn’t as good as Rodgers’ yet.
This is Love’s third season as the starter in Green Bay, and by the end of the year, fans should have a clearer picture of who he is and the long-term value he can provide to this team down the stretch.
