The 2025 NFL Draft is shaping up to be a lot different than the drafts from the past few years.
For instance, the 2024 and 2023 drafts had a lot of highly-touted quarterbacks, and there have been a lot of strong wide receiver prospects over the past five years.
Neither position has a lot of elite depth this year, at least according to many of the top experts.
There are a few strong WR candidates that will likely be taken in the first round, but it seems that teams will hold off on the position for the most part, electing to wait on receivers until later in the draft.
Jon Gruden recently put out a video on X, where he outlined his favorite sleeper wide receiver in the class, naming Arian Smith from Georgia as a player for people to watch out for when he gets into the league.
Here’s my sleeper WR in this year’s NFL Draft: Georgia’s ARIAN SMITH

In his mind, Smith is a fantastic player who brings a lot to the table as a prospect, noting his speed and overall athleticism as positives towards his prospect profile.
There’s no telling how an athlete will respond to being in the NFL, but if Smith can perform as well as he did in college and get the proper coaching from the team that drafts him, his ceiling could be a lot higher than what most people project.
He could end up being a steal in the draft, especially if wide receivers fall as far as most analysts are projecting.
