The NFL currently has a very talented young crop of quarterbacks that’ll likely lead the way for the next decade after the retirements of Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, and Philip Rivers over the last few years.
Although there’s a lot of talent at the quarterback position, with players like Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts, Trevor Lawrence, Tua Tagovailoa, and Josh Allen paving the way for the future, not one of them comes close to Patrick Mahomes.
The Kansas City Chiefs superstar has taken over for Brady as the cream of the crop at the position and shows no signs of slowing down while also getting the distinction as the best quarterback in the NFL by Burrow via NFL on ESPN.

Mahomes is coming off his second Super Bowl title playing for veteran head coach Andy Reid in Kansas City, with the Chiefs getting the best of Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles in February.
With Mahomes still playing at an extremely high level along with Travis Kelce, arguably the greatest tight end of all time, the sky is the limit for the Chiefs, as they’ll likely continue to be successful until the superstar quarterback calls it a career.
At 27, Mahomes may have a long way to go before he starts to see his skills decline or even considers walking away from the game like Brady did at 45.
Only time will tell how many titles Mahomes can win with the Chiefs and if any of his peers give him a run for his money as the league’s best quarterback in the years to come.
