For the better part of his NBA career, Jimmy Butler has been a man of his word.
He’s vowed to make every single team he’s played on a competitive one, even putting an end to the Minnesota Timberwolves’ playoff drought.
He also made sure to deliver on his promise of getting back to the NBA Finals after falling short of their goal in the NBA bubble, reaching the ultimate stage again last season.
Now, the Miami Heat superstar has doubled down on his promise, making it clear that he’s going to win an NBA championship with the Heat sooner than later (via CGTN Sports Scene).

Butler has proven to be one of the most relentless competitors and hardest-working players in the league.
Despite not having an elite supporting cast, he’s made sure to get the job done in the postseason, regardless of how low or high in the standings his team is when they reach the playoffs.
Butler is the kind of player who takes his game up a notch in the playoffs and who’ll look to lead by example night in and night out, embodying what Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra have built within the Heat organization.
The Heat are now actively trying to get Damian Lillard and will reportedly do whatever it takes to pair the multi-time All-Star with Butler and Bam Adebayo, and he might be just what they need to get over the hump once and for all and win their first ring since the Big 3 era.
