Although the Carolina Panthers are sitting in last place in the NFC South at 3-9, second-year quarterback Bryce Young is starting to show signs of improvement.
In his last three starts, he has recorded four total touchdowns and thrown zero interceptions.
Former Defensive Player of the Year and current CBS analyst J.J. Watt joined “The Pat McAfee Show” Wednesday to talk about how well Young has been playing.
“He is playing great football. The NFL is all about the right situation. It’s about developing players,” Watt said.

We continue to forget that you're supposed to develop players" ~ @JJWatt #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/cyrqbUtKKB

Given their record and roster talent, the Panthers are not much of a threat in the NFC.
However, the encouraging thing for the organization is that Young is starting to come alive.
He was benched earlier in the season and had to take his lumps as a backup, which included possible trade rumors.
Being benched allowed him to work on some of his previous problems and miscues, and he has shown up over the last few weeks.
It remains to be seen whether or not he is still the future in Charlotte.
But at the very least, his NFL stock has gone up because of his ability to respond to adversity.
A lot of eyes will be on Young as he looks to finish the season on a high note for the Panthers.
