The quarterback has cleared significant ground in his recovery process and appears positioned for action if no complications arise.

Non-contact practice marks the fourth stage in the NFL’s five-step concussion protocol. If Dart progresses to full practice with standard football activity later this week, he will receive medical clearance for the Lions game.
The Giants, sitting at 2-9, travel to Ford Field to face the 6-4 Detroit Lions in what could be a pivotal moment for their struggling season. Before his injury, Dart established himself as a historic performer at the quarterback position. He became the first signal-caller in league history to record a rushing touchdown in five consecutive games, surpassing Cam Newton’s previous mark from 2011.
Dart has also thrown at least two total touchdowns in each of his seven starts, tying the second-longest rookie streak behind Dak Prescott’s nine-game run in 2016. The rookie has recorded five games combining both passing and rushing touchdowns, matching Josh Allen for the most such performances across the NFL this season. His dual-threat capabilities have been central to New York’s offensive approach during his rookie year.
