The next week will bring a lot of good and a bit of bad for NBA fans all over the world.
The good news is that we are just a few days away from the All-Star weekend, featuring the dunk contest, three-point competition, and, of course, the big All-Star Game on Sunday night.
It’s a wild and exciting time for fans who want to see the best of the best play against one another.
At the same time, that means we won’t be seeing any new NBA games for more than a week, as the athletes in the league get a much-needed break.

This fact surprised LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets.
Following his team’s victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night, Ball was interviewed about the fact that he now gets nine days off to rest.
“Damn, nine days?” Ball said, clearly shocked by his upcoming break.
Sure enough, the Hornets will not play another game until next Friday, when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The rest will be good for Ball, who has been doing quite well lately after missing much of the season due to injuries.
On Wednesday, he scored 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists.
That followed a game with 30 points and 15 assists.
His Hornets are still in pretty bad shape (they’re the 14th seed in the East with a 17-43 record) and recently had a tough seven-game losing streak.
But Ball is looking better and better and that gives the fans some hope.
Perhaps a nine-day break and much-needed R&R will allow Ball to be even more impressive for the rest of the season.
