The New York Giants battled it out with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football, but fell short in the closing seconds as they failed to tie the game.
With the loss, the Giants fell to 1-7.
But, there is hope for Giants fans as they seemed to have found the right head coach in Joe Judge.
The problem is, they are a young team that hasn’t figured out how to win close games.
They are 1-5 in single score games thus far in 2020.
But, the team plays hard and shows some potential for a bright future.
Not everyone is as optimistic as one New York Giant isn’t too particularly happy with the performance.
In fact, Golden Tate’s wife, Elise, did the speaking for him as she went off on the Giants via social media.
Elise Shreds New York Giants For Not Targeting Her Husband More
Tate’s wife, Elise, is a social media influencer with over 55k followers on Instagram.
In the defeat to the Buccaneers, Elise took to social media to express her frustrations with the New York Giants.

One of her Instagram stories is captioned with the following:
“He’s healthy! and every damn time he gets an opportunity it’s a big play. Ain’t no way this BS gonna hurt his stats this yr bc he doesn’t get enough targets. FEED HIM THE BALL.”
Tate is known to be a playmaker with the ball and has made some exceptional plays for the Giants during his time with the franchise.
In Week 8, he was the least targeted wide receiver out of the primarily wide receiving core.
Perhaps, that was Tate’s last game as a New York Giant.
Golden Tate Has Been Rumored To Be On The Trade Block
Tate, in year 11, is showing that he has what it takes to contribute to a winning team.
Against the Buccaneers, Tate showed off his dynamic playmaking ability by scoring a touchdown late in the game that would have resulted in them tying it if they were successful on the 2 point conversion.

After securing the catch and making sure both feet were in bounds, Tate looks at the camera and screams, “THROW ME THE BALL.”
Tate finished the game with 2 catches on 3 targets for 31 yards and 1 touchdown.
He seemed to have echoed his wife’s remarks as he wants to be targeted more.
Last night, Daniel Jones was throwing primarily to Sterling Shepard (10 targets), Evan Engram (10 targets) and Darius Slayton (9 targets).
After the game, Jones mentioned that he would look to get Tate more involved moving forward.
But, last night’s game could have been Tate’s last as a Giant.
I’m not usually trade deadline “Make a trade!” guy, but if I’m the Packers after yesterday, I’m calling on a few WR names today. Among them:
Golden Tate, Alshon Jeffery, Will Fuller, Brandin Cooks, Kenny Stills, and Randall Cobb.

With the trade deadline looming, it is possible that Golden Tate could find himself with a new organization heading into Week 9.
