The NBA offseason is upon us and many people are looking for interesting things to talk about.
Well, something recently happened with Giannis Antetokounmpo that raised some eyebrows.
The Milwaukee Bucks forward made an interesting Los Angeles investment.
According to NBACentral, Antetokounmpo is investing in a Los Angeles golf club.

But this is not just any golf club.
This is the Los Angeles Golf Club of the TGL.
It is a new golf league that has six teams made up of PGA Tour players.
When many people saw this the first thing that came to mind was Giannis and the Lakers.
He’s a laker wow

The two-time MVP recently said he does not want to sign an extension in Milwaukee until he knows they can compete for a title.
If the Bucks are unable to build a good team around Giannis, the superstar might be on his way out.
But, to think he would want to play for the Lakers seems premature.
There are a bunch of players that spend their offseason in LA.
Plenty of players have homes there but that does not mean they are hoping to play for the Lakers.
This investment by Antetokounmpo should have nothing to do with his basketball career.
People are about to blow this out of proportion

Golf continues to become more and more popular and this is simply a business move for Giannis.
Many great athletes have investments in other sports.
Kevin Durant and Draymond Green are invested in pickleball teams, while Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a part-owner of the Kansas City Royals.
Having a stake in other sports is something players do nowadays.
So people should not look too far into this move by Antetokounmpo.
