At one point during his NBA career, superstar forward Kawhi Leonard was in the discussion for the distinction as the best player in the league, as he had won with the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors and was a two-way player that seemingly had no equal in the NBA.
Even though Leonard is still considered a superstar-caliber player when healthy for the Los Angeles Clippers, he’s never really healthy anymore and is seen on the bench in street clothes more than on the floor trying to help his team win games.
With Leonard not exactly being all that popular with the fanbase in Los Angeles, he didn’t really help matters on Friday night when he was seen in the front row at Petco Park in San Diego Padres gear, cheering on his hometown team against the Los Angeles Dodgers of all teams via Ball Don’t Lie.

Here are some fan reactions to seeing Leonard cheering for Padres against the Dodgers in San Diego on Friday night:
He is definitely used to sitting down.

Kobe wouldn’t be outside if he was missing games and not producing

Of course he’s a Padres fan

He might get injured clapping

These comments are pretty brutal, as all anyone seems to do these days when it comes to Leonard is take shots at him for sitting out games during this load management era, which could be directly attributed to him.
As for the Clippers, Leonard and company will try to right the ship during the 2023-24 NBA season, with him and fellow superstar forward Paul George presumably being healthy and ready to go when the season starts in October.
The Clippers will be considered a force to be reckoned with during the upcoming season with their two stars healthy, and if they can trade for James Harden, who has let it be known he would prefer to land in Los Angeles.
