Just last month, people were quite worried after finding out that former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Leonard Fournette had been involved in a potentially fatal accident.
Fournette’s car got burnt and completely destroyed while on a Hillsborough County highway on June 27 in Florida, but a new report by TMZ Sports sheds more light on what happened.
According to TMZ, the new police report states that the former NFL running back was actually speeding and racing a motorcyclist.

A key witness told the police that he had been driving northbound on I-275 when Fournette passed him at full speed, adding that he spotted Fournett and a motorcycle racing and changing lanes at a ‘high rate of speed.’
Then, a fire started erupting from the bottom of Fournette’s car, according to the witness, which obviously led to the former running back to slow down, pull over, and then eventually leave the vehicle — all while the unnamed motorcyclist kept riding.
Per the report, Fournette told the cops that he had been having problems with the car as of late.
Even so, apparently, there’s not enough information to pursue an investigation or press any sort of charges against the former Jacksonville Jaguar and LSU standout.
Fournette has struggled to gauge interest around the league as a free agent, and it doesn’t seem like that’s going to change any time soon.
He was vastly inefficient since arriving in Tampa Bay, and barring a major string of injuries, it is highly unlikely that we will see him back on an NFL field.
