The Indianapolis Colts continue to dominate with the best offense in the NFL.
While they have only faced two playoff-caliber teams so far, they’ve been very impressive.
Notably, Daniel Jones helped them make franchise history.
Following a Week 8 rout of the Tennessee Titans, the quarterback has the Colts off to their third-best scoring start in franchise history.
Through eight games, Indianapolis has scored 270 points.
That’s more than what Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck ever generated, and Jones trails only Johnny Unitas, who led the Colts to 274 and 272 points in 1964 and 1958, respectively.

Jones has been one of the biggest stories of the NFL season because of his career turnaround.
He didn’t look like a viable starter when he was with the New York Giants, much less an MVP candidate.
Then again, he has to give Jonathan Taylor a lot of credit.
The running back has scored 14 touchdowns this season, and while voters never give a non-quarterback a fair shot at MVP, he’s arguably been the league’s best player so far.
Jones had a strong outing against the Titans, completing 21 of 29 passes for 272 yards and a season-high three touchdown passes.
His chemistry with his receivers and comfort level within head coach Shane Steichen’s offense have finally helped him live up to his potential.
More than that, he’s playing his way into a very lucrative contract this offseason, and the Colts would be wise to keep him around for the long run.
