The Chicago Bears are on the cusp of finishing up a very disappointing 2024 season.
In a season that was supposed to be filled with hope, it was filled with tough moments, especially for rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
Former NFL quarterback and current ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky believes that Williams hasn’t developed or improved this season.
“(Caleb) hasn’t improved this year. He’s the only quarterback as a rookie this season playing that hasn’t improved and hasn’t developed,” Orlovsky said via The Pat McAfee Show.

The former Heisman winner has certainly taken his lumps this season.
He has a current QBR of 48.1 and has been sacked 58 times, which leads the league.
Now, he has thrown 17 touchdowns and just five interceptions, which is a good sign because he has not turned the ball over many times.
However, he has not shown enough progress to make pundits believe that he can lead this team to future success.
He has six games this season where he has either completed less than 60% of his passes or thrown no touchdown passes.
With quality pass-catchers on offense, such as D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze, Williams has had opportunities to make strides.
However, besides gaining experience and playing the game, Williams has not necessarily performed up to the standard others had for him.
It will be interesting to see if he can close out the season on a high note.
