Not many people expected the Indianapolis Colts to be one of the teams to beat in the NFL this season.
Fast forward to today, and everybody’s talking about Shane Steichen’s team.
According to the NFL on CBS, the Colts have the best point differential in the league (+116), and by a wide margin.

The Colts are dominating their opponents by scoring at every possible opportunity.
That’s the sign of a team that finally found its quarterback.
Daniel Jones is this year’s revival story, and the Colts’ decision to sign him to a one-year contract this offseason is looking like a master move.
More than that, there’s simply no way that they can let him leave as a free agent.
That should be the end of the road for Anthony Richardson, the No. 4 overall pick from the 2023 NFL Draft who might be elsewhere next season.
Jones is playing like a legitimate NFL MVP candidate, and while most of the Colts’ wins have been against lesser teams, they’ve also defeated the Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos, with their only loss coming to the Los Angeles Rams.
On top of that, Jonathan Taylor is playing like the best running back in the league by a significant margin.
There’s plenty of football left to be played, but the Colts certainly look like a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
